Background

Art and languages have always been at the core of my life, be it in education, hobbies or career.

Both French and British, I studied in Nantes, France, and obtained a BA (Hons) in English and Spanish (translation, linguistics, civilisation, literature) and an MA (merit) in English<>French translation (with linguistics and British civilisation). My MA dissertation was on J. M. W. Turner and the Industrial Revolution.

While working at Angel Row Gallery in Nottingham, I made valuable contacts in the arts, which led to occasional translation work from local art galleries. Linguistic Alchemy® was launched in 2008.

Aside from my translation work, I have been volunteering as a steward at the Royal West of England Academy of visual arts (RWA) since 2013 and, having a passion for photography, I started a photo blog (Urban Vision) early in 2016.

Psychology being my other main specialism, I completed a MOOC in social psychology (with distinction) with the Wesleyan University, USA, via Coursera in 2014.
